Yoo Doo Right - From the Heights of Our Pastureland (2024)

The third album from this band from Canada.

The band was a trio with a lineup of percussion, drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals.

A guest did trumpet on one track.

The band returned again after a short two years long break from the studio. Break they used to gig and develop their music.

Their first two albums was good krautrock albums. So I was looking forward to this, their latest album.

We are still deep into krautrock again. And the band has again blended in a lot of post-rock here. So much that it is debatable if the band is now a krautrock band or a post-rock band.

This is an almost three quarters of an hour long album and both the music and the sporadic vocals is gloomy and dark. The vocals is good, btw.

The music is also intense and hard. Very hard at times. There is enough mix of pastoral and hard parts to really make the music interesting.

Most of all, the music is also good throughout. This band is a rising star and worth checking out.
