Sentiero di Taus. Il - Novilunio (2024)

The third album from this band from Italy.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths and vocals.

The band released their debut album in 2013 and their second album in 2018. Both of them has been reviewed in # 2 of this series of blogs.

Their first two albums was very different from each other. The first one was more post-rock influenced. The second one was more in the RPI genre.

Their third album, this one, is barely half an hour long. It has a blend of both the above mentioned styles.

Take indie rock, add some post-punk and some post-rock. Then add some RPI and Italian folk rock. Then you get this album.

The album has a nervous ambience and the tempo is rather speedy.

The Italian vocals is rather good and the musical landscapes here are rather decent. There are a couple of good pieces of music here but those does not make this a good album from one of the most strange bands in the RPI scene.

This is a decent enough album. But don't expect a traditional RPI album. It is anything but a traditional RPI album.
