Fragile - Golden Fragments (2020)

The debut album from this German band.

The band was a quintet on this album with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

A male vocalist added his vocals on two songs.

The band has just released their second album, an album I will review later this year, and I though it was a good idea to check out and review this album too.

That based on the reports claiming this band is a Yes copycat.

.... So I was surprised when the album started with some female vocals. Yes, the vocals is female throughout this album.

The music is most certainly symphonic prog though. Symphonic prog as in the 1970s symphonic prog.

Yes does indeed springs to mind here. Very much so. But with female vocals and some sporadic male vocals...... The music still sails pretty close to classic Yes.

But they are not copycats as Fragile also has taken a lot from King Crimson on this album.

The result is both good and enjoyable. The music clever and intelligent. It has some good details too and the vocals are really good.

Check out this album.
