The eight album from this band from Norway.
The band was a sextet on this album with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, organ and vocals.
The band plugged themselves into the Norwegian electric mains supply again after their previous album Origin which was an acoustic album.
The band goes fully electric on Universal.
The music is an operatic, epic take on the black metal genre. The folk rock influences are largely dropped here.
The music on this three quarters of an hour long album is ultra-fast at times. It is also pretty epic and bold.
The vocals is a mix of black metal rasps and some pretty clear vocals. Pretty clear but not very clear.
This album is not among their greatest albums. There are no really good songs here, no real signature song here.
This is a decent enough album but nothing more than that. This is not an album I want to remember this band for.
