The 20th album from this band from Spain.
The band is a one-man-band with Manuel Casado on guitars, computers and vocals.
This is the twentieth of his albums and the journey through Manuel's albums has been a journey of hits and misses. Mostly misses, it has to be said.
All albums are Bandcamp albums and this platform encourages creative people to express themselves. That is a massive plus and we should all be grateful for the likes of Bandcamp and the Amazon self publishing platform. I am indeed an author myself, publishing books through that Amazon platform.
Dark I sees us first walking down an organ and distorted guitars path before the music takes a more ambient psych rock path. The last minutes of this album sees Manuel as a singer on a pretty decent folk like song.
The result is his best album for a while. Some of the ambient music leaves a lot to be desired. Nevertheless, there are also a lot of pretty good stuff here.
That is why this is a decent album and one to check out.
