Syndone - Kama Sutra (2021)

The eight album from this Italian band.

The band is a sextet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, timpani, clavinet, organ, piano, keyboards, vibraphone, moog, mellotron and vocals.

The band had help from around ten guests who provided oboe, clarinet, flute, sitar, guitars, saxophone, pipe organ and vocals. A symphony orchestra also added their sounds to this album.

This band album debuted in 1992 and is veterans of the new wave of RPI. A scene as good as any scene and as good as the original RPI scene.

Syndone has given us some really great albums too and a new album from Syndone always raise my blood pressure and my expectations.

What we get here is a mix of orchestral music, musicals and some, but not much, RPI.

This forty-four minutes long album feels like an overcooked piece of beef. Chevy and hardly edible.

The music is decent enough and there is some good details here. But I had expected a lot better music than we get here.
