The debut album from this band from Italy.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
Three guests added guitar, flute and lead vocals.
Moongarden has just released their new album, their tenth album. I have, to my shame, only reviewed three of them and is reviewing three of their albums this fall. Starting with this one....
The band is one of the bigger neo-prog bands in Italy. They have been, and rightly so, associated with the RPI scene too although their music is not RPI. Their music is more British influenced neo-prog.
The band took their first steps, babysteps, on this album. A forty minutes long album.
The sound is very much a mix of the 1980s neo-prog sound and some 1990s neo-prog sound. The songs are pretty poor.
There are some good details here though. Nevertheless, this is a decent album and one they could improve on.
