Congreso - La Canción Que Te Debía (2017)

The 17th album from this band from Chile.

The band was a seven pieces big band with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, saxes, flutes, keyboards, piano and vocals.

This is so far the final Congreso album and very likely their final ever studio album.

I have reviewed most of their albums over the last year in both this blog and # 2 of this blog. I have mostly liked what I have heard and I respect Congreso as one of the best ever bands from South America.

Congreso bails out of history with an hour long album which is a mix of South American folk music, fusion and Latin rock. There is even some tango here.

The vocals is very good and the music is full of interesting contrasts and details.

The quality of the music is indeed good and this is an album well worth checking out.

Thank you for the music, Congreso.
