Permian Incident - Songs of Solitude and Sorrow (2015)

The debut album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band has released two albums so far and I have got both of them up for review.

The band and other reviewers has named Uriah Heep as the reference for the music on this and their other album. That is not a bad reference.

The music is what we can call heavy prog. That is.....with a mix of today's sound and the 1970s sound.

Johannes Hulleberg vocals is very good and has this classic hard rock sound. The organ and guitar sound is also good.

This album is almost eighty minutes long. All the songs are pretty good.

It still falls a bit short. Nevertheless, this is a more than acceptable debut album and one well worth checking out.
