Brave New Worlds - .Net of Illusions (2021)

The debut album from this Italian band.

The band is a trio with a lineup of electronic drums, guitars, synths, samplers, programming, percussion, piano, keyboards and vocals.

The band had help from a handful of guests who provided clarinet, saxophones, violin, viola, electric violin, chapman stick, bass, drums, percussion, guitars, female and male vocals.

This band is new to me. This album is also a double CD, lasting two hours.

The music is melancholic, dark progressive rock. It is to a large extent also RPI.... Rock Progressive Italiano. The vocals is in English but the music has incorporated a lot of the RPI old bands.

There is also a lot of Van Der Graaf Generator and Peter Hamill references. In particular on the pretty dark second CD.

The music is very melodic. There is also a lot of intricate melody lines and details here too.

The female and male vocals are very good.

The quality of this album is very good and I would be surprised if this album will not win many fans.

Check out this album.
