Apairys - Ni l'espace, Ni Le Temps (2024)

The second album from this band from France.

The band is a duo on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and keyboards.

A guest deliver vocals on some tracks.

This band was formed when the two French band Maldoror and Saens split up many years ago. Two very good bands and their albums is highly recommended.

Apairys debut album Vers La Lumiere was released in 2019 and I reviewed it in February 2020 for # 2 of this blog. I gave that album a very good rating.

Five years later and the band has returned again with an album which is clearly very inspired by the French symphonic prog scene from the 1970s. Both Ange and Mona Lisa is good references here. Magnesis a good reference from this day and age.

Pastoral symphonic prog is what we get on this seventy minutes long album in other words. The vocals are in French and they are very good.

The music is on average very good too. The keyboards has a good retro-sound and the guitars are good too.

This is a very good album from a very good band. It comes highly recommended.

3.5 points
