The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
Three guests provided guitars and violin.
This band album debuted in 2005 and has released albums on six years or longer cyclus. I reviewed their fourth album, the 2017 album Il Fuoco Sotto La Cenere, one week ago. It is a very good album.
Il Cerchio D'Oro is one of those bands who inherited the 1970s RPI sound and music..... and then added their own take on this music. The band is a classic RPI - Rock Progressive Italiano band.
That comes with some very good Italian vocals. The music is also a mix of hard RPI and more pastoral, poppy and folky RPI.
The music is very good throughout and fans of RPI should be happy that this year has seen both the veterans and the newcomers deliver some very good albums. The scene is alive and well.
