Spinetta Jade - Madre En Años Luz (1984)

The fourth and final album from this band from Argentina.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of bass, guitars, organ, piano, guitar synths, synths, drum programming and vocals.

Three guests added cymbals, timbales, percussion and drum programming.

This is the final album from Luis Alberto Spinetta and his band. His first three albums had been some decent to good mixes of Latin-Pop and laid back fusion/jazz.

The fusion and jazz parts are largely in the background on his final album, though. What we get here is largely vocals based Latin-Pop. There are some soul, folk rock and fusion here too.

The music is very laid back and pedestrian throughout these thirty-seven minutes.

The vocals is decent and the songs are half-decent.

This is a pretty forgetable album and by far his worst album. Only the vocals is saving this album's bacon.
