The second and final album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano, flute and vocals.
The music on their self titled album from the same year, but in fact was recorded for a 1967 release, was pretty much a catchy mainstream psych rock album with some fine songs.
The band has gone a bit more out on a limb on this album, the follow up album. I suspect it was written and recorded closer to 1970.
The musicians sounds better on this album and the music is more jazzy too.
The result is a psych rock records with a lot of jazz and folk rock influences.
The music is livelier and more expansive here than before. Then again, some of the charm and the art of good song writing has been lost between these two albums.
The result is still a decent album and one well worth checking out. Both albums are now available from Esoteric Records on CD and is well worth checking out. This band deserve some love and attention these days.
