Maraton - Unseen Color (2022)

The second album from this band from Norway.

The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, percussion, keyboards and vocals.

Another new band in the Norwegian prog rock scene.

I have yet to sample their 2019 debut album Meta. As a collector of Norwegian prog rock albums, I will try to get a copy soon and then review it later this year.

This band is perhaps not strictly a progressive rock band.

Take art-rock, add electronica and some dreamy pop. The result is the landscape we find this band and some other bands.

Some of the music here reminds me about A-Ha and Morten Harket's vocals. There are also clear Marillion and Gazpacho references here.

The result is a good album. The songs are good and ditto for the sound.

Check out this album.
