Trefle - Reflet (1978)

The one and only album from this band from France.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This band only released this album and they released it on a very obscure record label. The LP is very difficult to find and it has yet to be re-released on CD. Something this album deserve.

The music on this half an hour long album is French symphonic prog. The vocals is in French and they are very good.

The most obvious, and indeed correct, reference here is Ange. Add Mona Lisa and Atoll too and you get the picture. Of the newer bands.... Magnesis is an even better reference.

There is also some Eloy in their sound too and their take on symphonic prog has some psych rock influences.

The sound is a bit flat... Nevertheless, the music here is really good and a reminder how good the French symphonic prog scene is.

This good album deserve a lot more attention and indeed a re-release. Check it out.
