The seventh album from this band from Germany.
The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This is a band who has never really impressed me. Their six albums has consisted of a mix of art-rock and pomp rock.
Hence... this album's first ten minutes comes as a positive surprise. ELP like symphonic prog, it is. There is still some pomp rock here and the album also changes into a more AOR rock album after these ten minutes.
Nevertheless, the ELP influences is always there throughout this hour long album. There is also some neo-classical stuff here and some ethnic stuff from around Europe. This album is a collection of countries and their sounds from around Europe. A good story and each song has their own ethnic identity.
The vocals is really good and the band does a good job throughout.
This is by far their best album and one to check out. A bit tolerance towards cheese is required, though. Check out this album.
