Civico 23 - Siero Progressivo (2013)

The one and only album from this Italian band.

The band was a sextet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, organ, piano, keyboards and vocals.

A guest added wind, tambourine, mandolin, narration and backing vocals.

This album is not the easiest on both the ears and to review......

This band has taken the hard rocking avant-garde'ish bands from the early 1970s Italian progressive rock scene - RPI -  and made an album from that.

All of it is original material on this one hour long album.

The music is wild and hard rocking. Most of the times, that is. There is also some slightly jazzy and pastoral parts here.

The vocals is at times harsh. It is also good throughout.

The quality is somewhere between decent and good. It is an album well worth checking out as you will find very few albums on this side of the RPI scene. It is an unique album.
