The ninth album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
A saxophon player added his saxophone on a couple of tracks.
Beggars Opera is a band who comes in three acts. The first albums as a symphonic prog band. The second part as a heavy metal band and the third part as a..... Well, a female vocals driven power pop band.
Ricky Gardiner from Glasgow is the only member during these three acts and the band was a Glasgow band. Not that they were that active as a live band.
We get one hour of power pop here, including a pretty long ambient piece/interlude towards the end of the album.
Virginia Scott has a good voice and her vocals is pretty good.
The music is pretty punchy and full on. The interlude is the only breather the band afford the listener on this album.
The music is pretty good. Somewhere between decent and good. I am still not the wiser when it comes to this band.
