Voivod - Killing Technology (1987)

The third album from this band from Canada.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.

This album is their first album where they moved more towards progressive rock. This according to those who knows this band.

Well, I get that.

The music is still speed metal with a lot of punk and metal vocals. There is still a lot of punk here too. The music is....... well, speed metal. Very fast in other words.

There are still hooks and riffs from the progressive rock genre here. This somewhere in these cascades of speed metal and noise. They are subtle, but they are still there.

Bypassing all this speed and vocals, the music is actually pretty quirky.

I am not a speed metal fan. Nevertheless, the inclusion of these quirky riffs and themes makes this a decent album and an album fans of progressive metal should have on their radar.

Check out this album.
