The eleventh album from this band from USA.
The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.
Metallica needs no introduction. They invented speed/thrash metal. Their Ride The Lightening, Master Of Puppets and And Justice For All is excellent albums. The Black Metal elevated them to one of the biggest metal bands of all. They are one of the best live bands of all time. Unfortunate, they have also released four very poor albums too. Two turkeys, included among those four albums.
I had yet to review Death Magnetic, this one and their new album. Something I am now doing.
Death Magnetic was a welcome return to form. It was followed by this Lou Reed cooperation turkey called Lulu.
Hardwired sees the band return to a mix of thrash metal and a bit heavy metal. It is not as heavy and thrash metal dominated as Death Magnetic, an album I really liked.
The stuff on Hardwired is still a pretty brutal album and a good one. The quality is good throughout and it is nice to see the band returning to their roots.
