The 11th album from this artist from Canada.
Rick Miller did the bass, guitars and vocals on this album.
He got help from a handful of guests who contributed with guitars, cello, violin, flute and drums.
Rick Miller did a shock move from ambient electronica to progressive rock with the full instruments some albums ago. I have reviewed his prog rock albums and will continue to do so in the next weeks.
His prog rock albums has so far been good.
The albums is also pretty much low profile and bereft of any big and bold melodies.
That very much goes for this album who are leaning too much towards the singer/songwriter tradition. The music is very pedestrian and there is not much going on here.
The music is not even dark. Maybe the lyrics is dark.
The drop in quality from the previous two albums is notable, I am afraid.
The result is a decent album but nothing more than that.
