Popol Vuh - Quiche Maya (1973)

The second album from this band from Norway.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

This was their final album under this name before they changed the name to Popol Ace due to the name conflict with the German band off the same name.

Another iconic cover art-work for those of us who grew up in Norway. Their first three (Vuh and Ace) albums has some great art-work.

The music on this album is again a mix of psych rock, some folk, some hard rock and a lot of art-rock.

Jahn Teigen's vocals is great on this album and a big step up from his vocals on the debut album. He really own this album.

There are no really killer tracks here. But the songs on this forty minutes long album is all pretty good and the vocals is the icing on the cake on all the songs.

This is another good album from this band. An album well worth checking out.
