The fifth album from this band from Sweden.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.
This is their second album through Aftermath Music after their split with Century Media.
The music on this album is mid-paced death metal. Or classic death metal as I see many call this type of death metal.
Where the new death metal bands and the likes of Cannibal Corpse are both far more technical and focused on speed, Runemagick sounds more like old Massacre on this album.
The music is classic death metal with the grunts and the classic riff structure. It is still pretty melodic though and far from being at the more extreme, esoteric end of the death metal scene.
The music is decent enough and a good reminder why classic death metal is a good genre.
