The debut album from this band from Norway.
The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, piano, keyboards and synths.
The band consists of the drummer from Enslaved and some other local musicians from Bergen. The album is out on Bandcamp label I believe is run by the same Enslaved drummer.
The music on this three quarters of an hour long album is post metal with a lot of doom metal and post rock influences.
There is a great ambience in this music. Music which is set out to describe an arctic night in their country.
There are some almost atonal guitar solos here and a lot of keyboards who drives the music. The music is still surprisingly organic.
It is also dynamic too.
I am not a post-metal fan. But I recognise some of what Enslaved does here and a lot of post rock and sludge here.
The result is a surprisingly good album and one to check out. The band is onto somethng here I will return for more if the band release some more music.
