Bacio Della Medusa. Il - Imilla (2023)

The fifth album from this band from Italy.

The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, saxophone, flutes and vocals.

This band is an interesting, good band in the new wave of RPI scene. A scene that has taken the best from the 1970s RPI scene and renewed this genre. They have also kept this genre alive and it is now as alive as a Ferrari F1 car at full speed.

The band debuted back in 2004 with their self-titled debut album. Their next albums was good until they hit some problems on their fourth album.

Hence my trepidations before I put on this album for the first time.

The band plays classic, muscular RPI with some flutes and saxophones pretty much in the foreground of the sound. Ditto for some Italian vocals.

The music is still pretty melodic with some Italian pop and folk rock incorporated into their RPI.

The result is a good album and one fans of RPI should pick up. You cannot go wrong with an album like this.
