The sixth album from this Norwegian band.
The band is a duo with a lineup of drums, percussion, keyboards, flute, guitars and vocals.
The band had help from a sextet who provided double bass, violin, guitars, bass clarinet, spoken word and vocals.
Jordsjo exploded on the scene some years ago and the debut album got rave reviews also in this blog, # 2 if I am not mistaken.
Their music is a blend of Norwegian folk rock, symphonic prog, eclectic prog and jazz.
The music is melodic. It also has some King Crimson and Gentle Giant intricate details. Even Yes has influenced this album.
This Scandinavian noir mix is very effective and creates some really memorable music and albums.
Jordsjo has established themselves as one of the most interesting and best prog bands from Scandinavia and this album is not a disappointment.
It is indeed a very good album, full of strange and good details.
Check out this album.
