Asfalto - ¡¡Ahora!! (1979)

The fourth album from this band from Spain.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The previous album, the 1978 album Al Otro Lado was a very prog rock influenced album. Yes is a good reference here.

How to follow up that album ?

The band retreated back to a much more hard rock territory on Ahora, this album.

The music is pretty hard and has some catchy tunes. The Canadian band Triumph is a good reference here.

The Spanish vocals and some Latin folk rock influences makes it clear that both the band and this album comes from Spain and not from an English speaking area.

The music is clever and rather quirky throughout this album. A forty minutes long album who also includes some good vocals.

The result is somewhere between decent and good. There is some good songs here and some decent songs here. This is still an album well worth checking out.
