The 14th album from this band from England.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.
The Enid's music is somewhere between classical music and symphonic prog.
This is also the case when it comes to this one hour long album.
The music is a bit too classical music in my opinion. I have never really admired classical music as it is a bit of snobbery, that genre.
But The Enid (and the likes of Karfagen/Antony Kalugin) has got a good balance between symphonic prog and classical music.
The main theme on White Goddess is a very good theme. The band has spun an hour long album around this main theme. This is why Mike Oldfield springs to mind when it comes to this album.
The music on White Goddess is bold and beautiful. It is a bit cheesy too.
The result is a good album and one of the better albums from The Enid.
Check out this album.
