Kornmo - Fimbulvinter (2021)

The third album from this Norwegian band.

The band is a trio with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars and keyboards.

This band is the continuation of the Norwegian band Morild which sadly seems to have split up.

I have reviewed their two first albums for this blog (#2 of this blog) and has liked what I have heard.

This despite of my not so happy relationships with instrumental prog rock albums.

This is again what we get here. Scandinavian symphonic progressive rock without any vocals.

The music is pretty bold and has this Scandinavian sound. There is a lot of folk rock in their symphonic prog too and some Edvard Grieg and Sibelius like classical music.

The music is good throughout this seventy minutes long album. A killer track or two is what is missing here. Besides of that, this is still a good album.
