Phideaux - Infernal (2018)

The 10th album from this Canadian band.

The band was a ten piece big band with a lineup of percussion, drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, dobro, saxes, violin, piano and vocals.

Numerous guests provided vocals, trumpet, cello and handclaps

Phideaux is Mr. Phideaux Xavier on vocals, guitars and piano. He is the mainstay in this album during their eleven albums. The last one released in 2020.

This album is a double album clocking in at one and an half hour.

The music is art-rock with symphonic prog influences.

The vocals is both male and female.

This album is one I have been struggling with since I did the reviews of the first nine albums years ago.

The music is overblown, too much musicals like and falls a bit short when it comes to quality. It is by far not the best album from this band/artist and those who want to explore this band/artist is best served by other albums.
