Congreso - Estoy Que Me Muero (1986)

The eight album from this band from Chile.

The band was a nine piece big band with a lineup of drums, percussion, marimba, bass, guitars, charango, cello, saxes, clarinet, flute, keyboards, piano and vocals.

The band continued with their eight album after their very eclectic seventh album. A jazz album, no less.

They changed their ways on the follow up album, the album I am here reviewing.

The music is folk rock with some pop too. There is also some gentle jazz here.

This album is what their previous album was not. In style and accessibility, that is.

The vocals are really good and the music is both warm and interesting. The vocals are Spanish and you can feel the local culture on this album.

The quality is not the best as this album feels a bit bland. Nevertheless, this is an interesting album and a good one too.

Check out this album.
