The debut album from this band from Norway.
The band was a trio with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars and vocals.
This band has just released their second album and were kind enough to send me a copy of it. I already got this, their debut album though and wanted to review that before I review their new album next week.
Their music is a mix of stoner rock, space rock and psych rock.
The music is pretty melodic in the sense that it has a lot of space rock themes throughout. There are some good vocals here too.
There is a lot of Motorpsycho references in their music. Sunface is more stoner rock than Motorpsycho and their music is a lot more melodic and uncomplicated. It is not as garage as Motorpsycho either.
The guitars are dirty though and the use of some half-acoustic guitars adds a lot of colours to the compositions on this half an hour long album.
The music is medium hard and it has a lot of good themes.
The result is a good album and one to check out if these three genres, space, psych and stoner, is something for you.
