Hanlon's Razor - Stockholm (2023)

The second album from this band from The Netherlands.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

I was not particular impressed by their 2021 debut album Paradigm. Art-rock meets King Crimson. That and some pretty decent but still disappointing music.

Dutch neo-prog and progressive rock has a pretty good name & reputation in my office. Hence, I normally get albums from The Netherlands only based on their good name.

Hanlon's Razor has moved on from Paradigm and their music is more a mix of art-rock and neo-prog on Stockholm. There are some heavy prog here too and some Porcupine Tree influences are very evident here.

The music is very muscular. This forty-five minutes long album is an improvement on their debut album... but not by much. The quality is somewhere between decent and good.

It is still an album well worth checking out.
