Dungen - Ta Det Lugnt (2004)

The third album from this band from Sweden.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, violin, flute, keyboards and vocals.

Five guests added drums, violin, saxophone and vocals.

The band continued with their third album. Someone told me that this is their best album... their masterpiece. Well....

The music here is mix of folk rock and Scandinavian symphonic prog. Add on some punk, a bit neo-classical music and a considerable amount of eclectic prog.

There is some Kaipa influences here. But most of all, Dungen is themselves and their own genre. A genre later also occupied by Agusa, a new Swedish band.

The vocals is very good and the main theme in this largely conceptual fifty-five minutes long piece of music is good to very good.

The overall quality is very good. A masterpiece.... nope. Nevertheless, check out this album.
