The debut album from this band from USA.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, piano, synths and vocals.
The band consists of students from the leading music school Berklee College. In this case, from their east-coast department in Boston. The Los Angeles department of Berklee is regarded as the best and most influential modern music school on this planet.... and beyond.
The band has so far released two albums and I will review their new album next week.
The band delivers a mix of progressive metal, fusion and alternative rock. Think Mars Volta and Dream Theater. Add in Panic Room too.
The music has some female vocals on the top of their mix of these genres.
The vocals are very good. Some of the guitars are a bit dissonant and crosses into djent on an infrequent basis.
The music is still not heavy. It is playful and elegant.
The result is a good album and one for those who like modern prog.
