Overload - Pichal Pairee (2009)

The second and final album from this band from Pakistan.

This band was a quintet on this album with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Numerous guests added bass, dhol, percussion, electronics and vocals.

This band released two albums during their lifetime before the band owner passed on.

The first album got them a reputation as a neo-prog band. Hence, I got this album.

The music starts out as a bit of progressive metal before the female vocals in the local language takes over.

The rest of the album proceeds down a road of local pop, folk music and electronica with some progressive metal included. There is no neo-prog on this album.

The music is not particular good or even decent.

There is some decent stuff here but most of the music is pretty dire. Hence the rating.

1.5 points
