The fourth album from this band from France.
The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, keyboards and organs.
I had the joy of listen to and reviewing their 2011 live album Live In Tokyo back in January 2014 for # 1 of this blog. I loved that album and I decided to get hold of their then three studio albums.
I must have forgotten that promise as I did not get them. Their third album was released in 2008, fifteen years ago. 111 is a comeback album, in other words.
The band has two keyboards players. In reality, one of them mostly plays a Fender Rhodes organ. One of them is also helping out the rhythm section while the other one is keeping the melody and solo alive.
The band plays fusion with a lot of zeuhl influences.
The music is pretty hard edged with a lot of rhythms. Just like as in zeuhl.
There are some very good pieces here and some not so good pieces. Some rather dull pieces.
The end result is a good album and one to check out. Let's hope the band will stick around for some more albums.
