The band is a quartet with a lineup of drums, glockenspiel, vibes, bass, guitars, keyboards, trombone, flutes and vocals.
I reviewed their semi-classic 1976 debut album In Search Of Ancient Gods ten years ago and did not like it at all. A plodding New Age album. I am in a minority of one here as everyone else really likes this album.
Their second album was released almost fifty years later.
The music this time around is totally different. It is a mix of boyband pop, west-coast rock and quirky psych rock. Add in some funk and fusion too and you get the drift.
The mix is a bit bewildering and this album would not be to everyone's taste.
It is still a decent enough album with some good vocals and some good musicianship. Some of the music is slightly cheesy but still a decent enough album.
