Ozric Tentacles - The YumYum Tree (2009)

The 18th album from this band from England.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, synths and programming.

Three guests added darbuka, synths and percussion.

The band continued with their winning formula. That means space and ambient rock with some Hawkwind influences. It can be argued that Ozric had now overtaken Hawkwind as the master of this genre.

Ozric Tentacles had by now gained legend status.

The band still managed to refine and renew themselves on this album.

They had added reggae on this album. Ambient reggae. And this addition, who was an addition and not a replacement of their more traditional stuff, really enhanced this album.

The result is another good album from this band. Another triumph and another hypnotic experience.
