Bardic Depths. The - Promises of Hope (2022)

The second album from this band from Great Britain.

The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, guitars, synths, keyboards and vocals.

Numerous guests added bass, guitars, cello, marimba, keyboards, synths, piano, organ, spoken words and vocals.

I very much liked their self-titled debut album from 2020 and was looking forward to some more albums from them. The band has released two more albums since their debut album and both are up for reviews this spring in this blog.

Their music is best described as a mix of folk rock, psych rock and neo-prog.

The music is progressive indeed. But with some Pink Floyd and folky rock influences.

The vocals is good and the band is helped by a lot of the leading lights in the British progressive rock scene. Hence the good musicianship here.

The quality is somewhere between decent and good throughout this album. Some more good songs are required before this album can be labeled as a good album. For those into wholesome melodic prog... this is an album and band well worth checking out.
