The debut album from this band from Norway.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of bass, guitars and vocals.
Two guests added drums and female vocals.
This is one of the bands from the first wave of Norwegian black metal. Because they were neither from Oslo or Bergen, they fell a bit between the cracks. The band comes from Kristiandsand which is, if driving the coastal road nobody use, is halfway between Oslo and Bergen.
From nowhere, the band debuted with a demo/ep and that was followed by this album. They have released six studio albums and they are all up for review this winter in this blog.
The music on this album is a mix of raw black metal and some more melodic stuff. None of it is particular good or even remotely appealing for progheads.
The music on this one hour long album is primitive and only half decent. It is not this album that has given this band it's good reputation.
