The debut album from this guitarist from Italy.
Tommy Talamanca does the bass, bouzouki, guitars, piano, synths, djembe and bodhran himself.
He got help on drums from a guest musician.
Tommy Talamanca is the guitarist in Sadist, a very good progressive death metal band whose first albums I may have reviewed for either # 1 of this blog or ProgArchives. If not, I would like to review them as I got the albums.
Tommy Talamanca has also released a brand new album this year and I will review it next week.
Na Zapad, whose art work is great, is a thirty-five minutes long album.
It is instrumental and it showcases his skills on guitars. It is short a guitar hero album.
The music is a mix of fusion and metal. There is nothing earth shattering innovations on this album. It is what it is..... a guitar hero album.
The music is decent enough. I have no complaints in that respect.
In short; if instrumental metal and fusion is your thing, this is an album well worth checking out.
