The 22nd album from this British artist.
Mike Oldfield did the guitars, bass, synths, grand piano and mandolin himself.
He had some guests who did percussion programming, narrations and vocals.
Mike Oldfield has scaled down his creative outputs on this album. Instead of overblown long pieces of music, we get some simple, short pieces of music.
That is the news on this album.
Mike Oldfield has gone back to basic music.
No tubular bells and no return to the good, old commercially great days.
And the result is not good.
The twelve pieces of music sounds more like black and white paintings than full musical pieces aka his old days.
There is some decent stuff here. Nevertheless, this album is an artistic failure.
