The debut album from this band from Great Britain.
The band was a trio with a lineup of percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
This band is new to me although they have been around for many, many years.
I have picked up their three albums for reviews in the coming weeks.
... Starting with this album.
The music is some sort of folk rock. The songs are long and there is definate some strong progressive rock and classical music influences here. There is also some americana in their music.
The sound and music is pretty dark with some, almost menacing good vocals. There is a lot of gloom and impending tragedies in their music.
The instruments are sparse but cleverly used.
The result is an album somewhere between decent and good. It is an album both folk rock and progressive rock fans will find very interesting.
