New Machine - New Machine (2002)

The one and only album from this US band.

This band was a duo where David Garcia did drums, keyboards and vocals. Bob Gilmartin did bass, guitars and vocals.

US neo-prog has been a bit of an ugly sister of the European neo-prog scene. They do things a bit different in USA.

That also goes for this album.

Big, bold and brash.

That is the neo-prog on this fifty minutes long album. And it is unashamed big, brash and bold.

There is also indeed some progressive metal in their music too. Kansas is a good reference when it comes to this band.

The vocals and the vocal harmonies are not bad at all and some of the songs are rather good. There is also some rather decent too here and this album is not really a good album.

Anyway, check it out if US neo-prog is your thing.
