The eight album from this one-man-band from Great Britain.
Robin Armstrong did the bass, guitars, keyboards and vocals.
He got help from a trio of guests who provided drums, narration, female and male vocals.
This album was the reason Robin Armstrong left the live band version of Big Big Train. He rather wanted to write and record new music, which ended up as this album, instead of touring with Big Big Train. This in addition to his daytime job.
Rattrapante clocks out at fifty minutes. The music is a mix of art-rock and symphonic prog. There is a lot of Middle-East ambience and influences on this album.
The music is at times very bombastic. It is muscular throughout. It is also full of intricate details.
Robin's vocals is good. The music is well crafted.
This is not the best of the many Cosmograf albums. Nevertheless, this is a good album.
