Hamm. Stuart - Hold Fast (2023)

The 19th album from this artist from USA.

Stuart Hamm did all the basses here and had help from around seven guests who added drums, guitars, keyboards, saxophone and vocals.

Stuart Hamm is a legend in scene, having been the bassist for many other solo artists and contributed on numerous studio recordings as a studio musician.

Besides of this duties as a bassist for numerous other artists, he has also managed to release his own albums and he has also been touring them.

On this three quarters of an hour long album, he has integrated his bass in the many good songs here. There is no show-off bass playing here. It still comes across as great.

There is some really good guitar solos from the likes of Alex Skolnick and Michael Lee Firkins.

The music is pretty mid-tempo and a mix of rock and fusion.

Most of the music is instrumental. The final track is a jazzy track with some jazzy vocals and saxophone.

This is the first ever solo-album I have heard from Stuart Hamm and it is a good album. Check out this album if a mix of fusion and rock is your cup of tea.
