Tea Club. The - Grappling (2015)

The fourth album from this band from USA.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, percussion, violin, cello, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

The band continues with their mix of The Mars Volta, Genesis, Rush, The Dear Hunter and Gentle Giant. Add a lot of bohemian americania too and some jazz and you get their music.

The band is back after changing some of their members. The McGowan brothers are now the only remaining members from their first albums.

The band is from USA but they have been listening to the likes of The Flower Kings too. There are some pretty evident similarities of the mid-era The Flower Kings and most of the stuff on this album.

A three quarters of an hour long album, btw.

The vocals is as always very good and there is a lot of interesting details on this albums. The songs are all good. What is missing is the dot over the i..... a cracking great song or two. Songs that sets the band apart and above their competitors.

Nevertheless, this is a good album.
