Chalis - One Small Chance (1975)

The one and only album from this band from USA.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, bass, keyboards, guitars and vocals.

Some guests provided strings too.

This band from Minnesota is largely forgotten and there is few reviews around. Something I can understand. The band is listed as a prog band in ProgArchives and has therefore got my attention and a review.

Progressive rock is not what I have in mind when I am listening to this album.

This thirty - five minutes long album has a mix of teenybopper rock, rock and stadium rock. OK, there are some hints of prog here too. A bit Supertramp. But also a lot of Elton John.

The vocals is fairly good and the band is doing their best with some pretty dull material. The organ and slide guitars are cool, though.

The quality is barely decent. But the music is decent enough and there may be someone out there who would appreciate this album. Check out this decent enough album.
